FAQ DURING THE COVID-19 CLOSURE
While our physical studio is temporarily closed in an effort to flatten the curve and do our part to practice social distance and keep our community safe, we are OPEN for classes virtually!
Here are some frequently asked questions that will be helpful in getting the most out of your virtual membership.
HOW DO I TAKE CLASS AT HOT FOR YOGA DURING THE PHYSICAL CLOSURE? All LIVE classes are hosted on the Zoom platform. Go to zoom.us/download and download this FREE video conferencing platform. If you’ll be tuning in for class on your phone or tablet, simply download the Zoom app.
If it’s a “hot” class you’re doing and it’s accessible to you, try to find a quiet space you can practice and turn on a space heater and humidifier about an hour before class. Other recommendations are to layer up with clothing or to take a hot shower or bath before class. Have your mat, towel and water ready.
HOW DO I GET THE ZOOM LINK FOR EACH CLASS? You will receive an email about an hour before class and also a text about five minutes before class. Your Zoom meeting link for class will be in this email and text. Be logged into Zoom, and then just click the link!
ANYTHING SPECIAL I SHOULD DO TO MAKE SURE I GET THIS EMAIL? Yes. Add yoga@HotForYogaSCV.com to your email contacts so that these important emails don’t end up in your spam/junk/promotions folder! And check your profile in MindBodyOnline to make sure your email and cell number are up-to-date.
HOW DOES THIS WORK IF THE CLASS I’M TAKING HAS MUSIC? When a class that we teach has music, like Inferno Hot Pilates, you can bring your own music…whatever gets you pumped and ready to move! Classes with music work best if you have Zoom playing on one device and your music playing on another (e.g. Zoom on laptop and music on phone). You’ll be muted during the class, so don’t worry about boom box wars with other students!
ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL PERKS FOR CERTAIN MEMBERSHIPS? YES!!! If you’re on an Annual Membership or a Monthly Unlimited Auto Pay, you have access to all of our pre-recorded classes on demand. We have these classes available just for you on a private, password-protected page. As long as you have an active Annual or Monthly unlimited membership, this is a perk for you! Thank you for your support and hanging in there with us during these times!
DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL MEMBERSHIPS DURING THIS TIME? Yup! We know that things are changing quickly, and people are stressed. Your health, sanity and keeping your immune system strong are of utmost importance. It’s our goal to make practicing with Hot For Yoga as easy and stress-free as possible.
- I’M ON A RECURRING CLASS PACK OR MEMBERSHIP, AND I’M UNABLE TO SIGN UP FOR CLASS. WHY? Likely what has happened is that your next billing date has not occurred yet or your credit card was declined from your last payment. Since we have no way of controlling “unpaid” visits on virtual classes, we’ve disabled the feature that lets you book a class before payment is processed. Eg: If you’re on the monthly Auto Pay and your billing date for the next cycle hasn’t happened yet, you can’t book beyond your billing date until the payment has been processed.
- HOW DO I HELP SUPPORT HOT FOR YOGA DURING THE TEMPORARY PHYSICAL CLOSURE? We want to support you through this panademic, and we want to be able to re-open our doors and support you on the flip side of this too. We need your continued support of our small businesses if you’re able to do so.
